Howard Kottler: Decal Plates

December 6 - 30, 1971

“The decals used in the Kottler series of decorated and re-decorate decorated plates are all ceramic decals. They are commercial decals used on every day dinnerware or souvenir plates which are mass produced by the ceramic industry for collector’s curior cabinets, thrill seekers and rapid sales. These decals are sil screened and during the process are impregnated with a low-fire glaze.”

In collaboration with the Fine Art Student Council.
