Info Days 2013

Info Days is an exciting two-day open house held annually at the University of Manitoba's Fort Garry campus. The event is for high school-age students who are interested in learning more about the University of Manitoba.
Guests at Info Days attend presentations and information sessions, tour different buildings and faculties, and meet with current staff and students. You choose what you want to attend from a schedule of presentations, tours, and other fun activities that are offered throughout the day.

REGISTRATION
School groups are encouraged to RSVP their attendance at Info Days. Still haven't registered your school for Info Days? It's not too late to RSVP. Click here for our online registration form.
Registration is not required for individual students or families planning to attend Info Days.
PARKING

Arriving by car:
FREE PARKING for individual vehicles is available ONLY in the regular student parking area of "Q-Lot," located east of St. Andrew's College, on the north side of Dysart Road (see parking map).
FREE PARKING IS PROHIBITED in the "K" staff lot, located east of the student "Q" Lot. FREE PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED in casual paid parking areas such as meters, pay and display areas, and the parkade. You will be ticketed if you park in the casual paid areas without paying.
PARKING IS NOT PERMITTED in the following areas at any time. Parking in these areas will result in a parking violation and offenders will be ticketed.
Additional, paid hourly parking is available in the University Centre parkade and in other public parking lots located around campus.
Arriving by bus:
ALL BUSES are to drop-off and pick-up students in "Q –Lot," located east of St. Andrew's College, on the north side of Dysart Road (see parking map). There is no stopping allowed on Dysart Road. All buses must return to Q-Lot to pick up their groups at the arranged time of their departure.
After dropping off students, buses may park in the northwestern part of "Q-Lot" (see parking map).
Arriving students will be directed to the event from Q-Lot by event staff.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE…
Once you have arrived to campus, proceed south from the free parking area in "Q Lot" to University Centre(see parking map). The event Main Stage is located on the 1st floor of University Centre; this is where students will meet for presentations and tours. Info Village is located on the 2nd Floor; this will be open throughout the day for you to visit. See below for details.

Please note: Students should meet for departure to all presentations and tours at the Main Stage, located on the 1st floor of University Centre. Student volunteers will be on hand to lead you from the Main Stage to each presentation. Groups will depart the Main Stage area approximately 5 minutes prior to each presentation start time.

Info Village features booths and displays staffed by faculty, students, and staff from all over the U of M. It is located on the 2nd Floor of University Centre, inside the Manitoba Room (Rooms 210 -220) and Marshall McLuhan Hall (Room 204). Hours of operation are 9:00am to 2:00pm.
While in Info Village, stop by the UMConnect Lounge and create a student profile to win cool prizes (including an iPad mini) and to receive regular updates from the U of M about the programs and services you're interested in!

GET ACTIVE - TRY OUT OUR RECREATION FACULTIES AT INFO DAYS!
Recreation Services is pleased to offer FREE all-day access to our fitness and recreation facilities at Info Days! Bring your workout gear and go for a run, use the pool, or challenge friends to a game of pick-up basketball or hockey. Please note that photo ID is required for entry. Daily sport equipment rentals are also available for $5. Students can access the recreation facilities by going to the Customer Service Desk located in the first floor lobby of Frank Kennedy Centre.
DAILY PRIZE DRAWS
Students can enter to win our daily draw for an iPad mini and other prizes! The Draw Box is located outside Info Village on the 2nd Floor of University Centre.
Daily prize draws will be held just before 12:30pm on the Main Stage. Drop by to see if you are a winner!
COUNSELLOR'S LOUNGE
Counsellor's Lounge is located in Bistro Two-O-Five restauranton the 2nd Floor of University Centre (near the 2nd floor stairwell and elevators) and is open from 9:00am to 1:30pm. It's a place for counsellors and teachers to relax, check their email, and obtain the latest information about the U of M.
