Applications for Fall 2019 admission to all University of Manitoba Direct Entry programs are now available. Students can apply for admission on our website at umanitoba.ca/applynow. All applicants are encouraged to review our admission requirements prior to submitting an online application.
Direct Entry Application Deadlines:
- Desautels Faculty of Music: January 15, 2019
- All other programs: March 1, 2019 (also the deadline for Entrance Scholarship consideration)
- Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents: $100 CDN
- International Students: $120 CDN

|BMO Leader of Tomorrow and Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarships
Applications for the 2019-2020 BMO Leader of Tomorrow and Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarships are now available. Valued at $16,000 ($4,000 per year over 4 years), the BMO Leader of Tomorrow and Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarships are awarded to exceptional high school graduates who combine outstanding leadership potential with academic giftedness. Please encourage your students to apply!

The application deadline for both the BMO Leader of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarship and the BMO Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarship is December 1, 2018. In addition to completing the scholarship application, students must also apply for Fall 2019 admission to the University of Manitoba by December 1, 2018.

|Desautels Faculty of Music Open House - Oct. 11 & 12
The Desautels Faculty of Music’s annual music Open House will be held on Thursday, October 11th and Friday, October 12th, 2018 at the Fort Garry Campus. We look forward to welcoming prospective music students on to our campus where they will spend the day attending classes, rehearsals and performances and exploring our new state-of-the-art facilities. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with professors, ask them questions, and participate in ensembles or a masterclass. Students are welcome to bring their own instrument!

|Faculty of Arts presents Frankenreads Winnipeg: Special Invitation & Field Trip Opportunity for High School English Classes - Oct. 31
On October 31, 2018, the world will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. The Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba is joining over 450 worldwide participants in Frankenreads - a celebration of all things Frankenstein! We have some fantastic events planned including a public reading, movie screenings, poster competition, trivia and more, as well as a special workshop available specifically for high school groups.

The University of Manitoba is looking for prospective high school students to fill out a short online user test to aid with the development of a new University of Manitoba website. Students who complete the test will be entered to win one of three $50 UM Bookstore gift cards, plus they’ll be contributing to the process of making a website that better serves all students.
