Interested in visiting the University of Manitoba? Take a campus tour or attend one of our special events to learn more about the university, our programs and services, and the social and recreational opportunities available to our students.

Campus Tours

Campus tours are available for students most Fridays at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm. Parents, family, and friends are welcome. Tours are approximately 90 minutes in length and include the buildings and services of most relevance to new or incoming university students. Annual Events

Evening of Excellence - Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Held annually in late October, this evening open house is for high-achieving Grade 11 & 12 students who excel in the classroom and in the community. Bring your parents and friends and visit dozens of booths and exhibits spotlighting U of M programs and services. Meet one-on-one with current U of M staff and students and learn more about scholarships, awards, the application process and what it’s like to be a U of M student.

Open House - Thursday, February 20, 2020

Experience a day in the life of a university student! Held annually in mid-February, our campus-wide open house is a great opportunity for school groups, students, and families to explore campus. You choose what you want to attend from our schedule of presentations, tours, and activities: attend sample university lectures, tour different buildings around campus, or get active in our recreation facilities. Learn more about the subjects that interest you by attending faculty presentations or meet one on one with staff and current students in our information village.


Minnesota Student Events

The University of Manitoba hosts events for students and families from Minnesota throughout the calendar year, including on-campus at our annual Minnesota Student Day in October and in Minneapolis in the spring. See our Minnesota student event page for more information.


Visit Winnipeg

The University of Manitoba is located in the city of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. Winnipeg is a culturally diverse city with many social and recreational opportunities for visitors. For more information about hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, and attractions, visit the Tourism Winnipeg website. The University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus is located off of Pembina Highway in South Winnipeg, approximately 20 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes from the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
