HEALTH CAREERS ACCESS PROGRAM (NURSING)

What is it?

  • Located at the University of Manitoba the program provides a support network designed to increase student success in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program.

Who is eligible?

  • The priority group are those individuals who have not had the opportunity for successful university experience due to social, economic, geographic and cultural barriers, or a lack of formal education.

  • Aboriginal people (Metis, Status, Non-Status, Inuit), residents of Northern Manitoba, and low income earners.

  • Applicants must meet the minimum entrance requirements for admission to the Faculty of Nursing.

  • "Special Consideration" may be given to applicants who meet the minimum entrance requirements, but who may not meet the academic performance level of other applicants. Further information and application forms for the "Special Consideration" category are available from Enrolment Services, Admissions Office.
