Financial Aid and Awards

The Financial Aid & Awards Office assists students in meeting their educational costs through a variety of award and aid programs: scholarships, bursaries and government student loans. We provide emergency loans on a very strict case-by-case basis and operate the University of Manitoba Food Bank (in partnership with UMSU).


OFFICE HOURS:

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Tuesday 8:30am to 7:00pm (closed weekends & public holidays)

New for Bannatyne Campus students: Financial Aid and Awards will be present on campus beginning January 2012 every Wednesday in room T251 Basic Sciences.

Attention all students: You are responsible for checking your University of Manitoba email account regularly and keeping your contact information current by updating it in Student Aurora or through the Registrar's Office.

Important News for Government Student Loan Recipients

SUMMER SES SION 2012 - TUITION FEE DEFERRALS - If your loan funding will not arrive in time:

If you have qualified for government student loan assistance that will cover your tuition fees, the University will allow you to defer your fees until May 31.

University of Manitoba Employees Scholarship - The University of Manitoba Employees Scholarship (UMES) is open to spouses or dependent children of University of Manitoba employees or retired former employees. Application deadline: May 31, 2012

Alumni Association Inc. Undergraduate Award - The Alumni Association Inc. of the University of Manitoba offers two annual scholarship, valued at $3,750 each, for students who have excelled in their studies and have demonstrated leadership and/or commitment to volunatrism during the course of their academic career.  Applications are to be returned to Financial Aid and Awards.  Application Deadline: Friday, July 13, 2012.
