Crisis and Emergency Services

If you are on campus and require immediate assistance, you may access the SCCC (474 University Centre) during our drop-in times. Most urgent cases are seen during our drop-in times on a priority basis.

Our office is open from 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday at the Fort Garry campus, and from noon until 7:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday at the Bannatyne campus (S207 Medical Services Building).  Hours may be reduced during the summer months and over holiday breaks. You can contact either of our services by calling 474-8592 during our Fort Garry business hours. 

 

After Hours Crisis or Emergency Assistance

If you are in crisis or require emergency assistance for mental health related concerns outside of regular business hours, there are campus and community resources available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you:

Campus Resources:

  • If you are a patient of the University Health Service, you can access the UHS after hours on-call service by phoning 474-8411 and following the instructions on the recorded message.
  • If you are on campus (Fort Garry or Bannatyne), you can contact Security Services at 474-9341 or 555. Their staff can attend on site and assess your needs, involving other services and resources as required.
