The ELC is an official testing site for the CanTEST (The Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees).

WHAT IS THE CanTEST?

The CanTEST measures English language knowledge and skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Scores are reported in each of the four areas using a “band system” that relates test scores to a descriptive statement about the candidate’s ability.  For more on the individual sections, or the way CanTEST is scored, please visit our FAQ page or the Information for Test Candidates (PDF) as published by the University of Ottawa’s Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute.

COST OF PRACTICE TESTS:

• $30.00 -- CanTEST Information and Practice Test (66 pages) includes: Test strategy information, full Listening test including audio CD, full Skim and Scan test, full Reading Comprehension test (including cloze test), answer key
• $12.00 -- Cloze Test Practice Book (26 pages) includes: information about test, 10 practice cloze tests and answer key

COST OF OFFICIAL CanTEST SCORE REPORT:
