NUMBER OF AWARDS : One

QUALIFICATIONS: Open to any student who has:

1. Completed the AEPUCE program at the University of Manitoba, English Language Centre with a minimum grade of 80% in each of the four skill areas: reading, writing, speaking, listening; or
2. Completed the IAEP program, met the language requirements of the University of Manitoba, and achieved a minimum CanTEST score of band 4.5 in three of the four categories;
3. Achieved the highest overall standing of all eligible candidates;
4. Enrols at the University of Manitoba in any Faculty as a full-time student.

This award is presented annually to English Language Centre graduates based on the above qualifications. It is not necessary to apply for this scholarship. Students receiving the scholarship may begin studies in either September or January in the regular session for which the award is tenable.

BURSARIES

The English Language Centre offers one bursary to a student who has completed the Academic English Program for University and College Entrance (AEPUCE) or completed the Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP). Students should be

• enrolled at the University of Manitoba full time and
• able to demonstrate financial need

1. is enroled full-time in any year of study in any Faculty at the University of Manitoba;
2. has achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or has been successfully admitted into their first year of studies at the University of Manitoba;
3. has graduated from the ELC program at the University of Manitoba;
4. has demonstrated financial need on the corresponding standardized ELC bursary application.
