Spring - Summer Bursary

The 2013 Spring/Summer session bursary application will be available in May on Aurora Student. Successful applicants will be notified in late July.

The 2013 spring/summer general bursary application is available in early-to-mid May through the Aurora Student portal. Applications and all supporting document must be submitted no later than June 1.

Results are finalized by late July of each year and money is directly applied as a cheque to the student. Please check your Student Aurora account in late-July to find out if you have been awarded a bursary.

General bursary criteria:

  • All courses must be completed in the current spring/summer session.
  • A student must register for and complete at least 60% of a full course-load Full-time eligibility for Manitoba students during spring/summer is a minimum 6 credit hours (within a 6  -8 week period).  If attending continuously between May - August (i.e. no breaks greater than 3 weeks between classes), you must complete a 9 credit hour minimum.
  • All Canadian students must have proof of an approved government student loan in the form of a Notice of Assessment (NOA) for the current summer session (past academic sessions do not count).
  • International students must complete a minimum of 6 credit hours within the spring/summer session to qualify and must be paying the International tuition surcharge. 
  • International students must have completed one full year of study (September through August) in order to qualify for a summer bursary.
  • Graduate students who have already received a bursary during the previous Fall/Winter session are not eligible to apply for the summer session bursary as the summer session was already calculated in your original application.
