The following is a list of organizations which offer scholarships and awards that may be of interest to current and entering University of Manitoba undergraduate and graduate students. Awards with upcoming deadlines will be noted; students are encouraged however, to search for scholarship opportunities year-round.
Because these scholarships and awards are administered by industry, government and private organizations outside of the University of Manitoba, students should read all of the information provided carefully and direct questions to the appropriate department listed on the application.

BeeMaid Honey - Two, $1,000 scholarships available to students who are either a child or grandchild of a member of BeeMaid producer coops or the child or grandchild of an employee of an affiliated cooperative or BeeMaid Honey. Business Council of Manitoba Aboriginal Education Awards - Awards for all levels of study - 1st year, undergraduate and graduate. Application period closed.
AUCC Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Endowment Fund for Student in a Second Official Language Award. Application period closed.
CampusPerks - A $1,000 scholarship recognizing outstanding students that are doing great things on campus and in their communities. This year awards will be presented for Art, Media, Philanthropy and Entrepreneuship. The Canadian Dementia Resource and Knowledge Exchange (CDRAKE) in partnership with the Alzheimer Knowledge Exchange (AKE) are offering $250 bursaries for the winter semester for students enrolled in an undergraduate program that is in a gerontology-related field. Canadian Engineering Memorial Fund - 14 Engineering scholarships for 2009 ranging from $2500 to $15,000 for undergraduate and graduate level female engineering students.
Canadian Japanese-Mennonite Scholarship - $2000 for graduate students engaged in minority/human rights research.
Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation (CMSF)
Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers National Scholarship Program - For students studying Business, Finance, Economics, Management, and several other fields. Application period closed.
Canadian Foundation for Geotechnique - $5000 for Master's or Ph.D. students. Application period closed.
Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals (CRHP) - A $500 award and a 1-year membership in the CRHP is available to a student enroled in healthcare programs. Guidelines and application forms are available here. Application period closed.
Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) - Scholarships worth between $4,000 - $6,000 each will be awarded to graduate students applying for and entering Masters of PhD programs and current graduate students in the prcoess of choosing research topics who are specializing in the transportation field. Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship - Two - $5000 awards to two graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in full-time study preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Application period closed.
Federation of Canadian Municipalities - The mayor Andrée Boucher memorial scholarship is now avialable for application. A $2,000 scholarship is available to a woman undergraduate or graduate student who is considering making a contribution to/or entering the political realm. GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program - Awards for Aboriginal students, women in engineering, and students with disabilities who are studying engineering or business/management.

The Hungarian Presence in Canada - Canada-wide essay and video competition on the immigrant experience in Canada; $1000.
The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba/Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg - Students with volunteer/employment experience in preservation of any cultural heritage. Application period closed.
The Percy Lanham Bursary - Available to students who have completed without condition one or more years of study in a first undergraduate degree or diploma program, and proceed in the next ensuring academic year to the next year in their program with a full course load. The minimum requirement is 24 credit hours. Bursary value is at the sole discretion of the board of the Foundation. Manitoba Legislative Internship Program - A program for graduates of Manitoba's universities or graduates of other universities who are permanent reisdents of Manitoba with an opportunity to experience first hand the legislative process within the Manitoba Legislature. Manitoba Lotteries Corporation - Employment Equity Education Awards - For students who are members of the following Employment Equity groups: Aboriginal Peoples; persons with disabilities; visible minorities; women in male-dominated occupations. Awards are valued at $2000 each and are open to UM students studying: Computer Sciences, Commerce, MBA and/or the Aboriginal Business Education Program. Application period closed.
Manitoba Round Table for Sustainable Development Scholarship - Undergraduate and Graduate research scholarships. Unavailable for the 2012/2013 academic year.
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) - Grants for women from developing countries are now available. To review eligibility criteria and award information please click here. Application period closed.
Marymound Bursary Program - $1000- $2500 for students who have been involved in one of Marymound's school, foster home or treatment programs. Click link for information and application forms. Deadlines: 1 October/1 May each year.
Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship - A $5000 award to an upper-division undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a course of study preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Application period closed.

Province of Manitoba- French immersion and French language bursaries. Two - $2,500 bursaries available to Manitoba students who wish to pursue postsecondary studies in either French immersion or French outside of Manitoba. Rhodes Scholarships

Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Council Ladies Auxillary University Scholarship - Scholarships for any student who is a resident of MB/Northwest ON who is entering or continuing in the Faculty of Physio/Ocupational Therapy or Nursing. SAP Canada Corporate Citizenship Scholarship Program - $5000 award for undergraduates in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Application period closed.
SIRC Research Award - A $2,000 award that is to be applied to research in one of the following areas: 1) the social impact of sport on the community; 2) the impact of applied research on athletic excellence/high performance; the impact of Olympic values on positive mental health development and sport participation. Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) - Up to ten Fellowships of $5,000 each awarded. The fellowship is open to full-time, college and undergraduate university students. Candidates must have completed at least on full-time semester of study; however, they cannot apply during the final year of their degrees or diplomas. For more information please click here. Thompson (MB) Chamber of Commerce R.W.F. Hunt Scholarship - $500 for 1st or 2nd year students studying business and related fields. Application period closed.
Transportation Association of Canada - Undergraduate and Graduate scholarships/fellowships for transportation-related disciplines.
University of Manitoba Students' Union Awards - Five categories of awards with two, $1,000 awards available in each category.
