Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of applying for Advanced Early Admission and being considered for the Advanced Early Admission Scholarship?

Because students are admitted to the UM early in their Grade 12 year, Advanced Early Admission allows for better academic planning and preparation for students, parents and councellors. By being considered for the Advanced Early Admission Scholarship, students and parents are also better able to plan financially by having a provisional offer of at least $1800 for the student's first year tuition at the UM.

Advanced Early Admission Scholarship recipients are also required to maintain a 90% average in their Grade 12 year to maintain the $1800 award. However, if students wait until the Early Admission deadline to apply, the General Entrance Award for the same 90% average would result in a $1400 award.
