About us:
The Womyn's Centre provides a feminist voice and safe space for women on campus. As a feminist organization, we operate as a collective with a consensus based decision-making process. We are queer-positive and pro-choice. We strive to create a place where women are listened to and recognised, and facilitate women in gathering the information they need to make informed decisions in their lives.

What we do:
  • Provide a safe space for women on campus to work, share, and learn together.
  • Advocate on behalf of the women of the University.
  • Organise events to celebrate International Women's Week.
  • Actively campaign against sexism, ageism, racism, ableism, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination on campus and in the community.
What we offer:
  • Free condoms, pregnancy tests, and information on reproductive issues.
  • Free menstrual products and information on alternative menstrual products.
  • Wendo: a women's self-defense course
  • An ever expanding resource library filled with feminist books, magazines, and videos: for work and for play
  • A place for women to gather and be with one-another

The collective meets weekly during the regular session. The office is kept open during the day by members of the collective. All women are welcome to come and utilise the centre, so please feel free to come on in and check it out.

If you want to know more about us and our events, have ideas to share, or become a member of the collective, just drop by, give us a phone call, or email us.
