Each residence has its own unique atmosphere based on the interests

Speechly/Taché Residence is our largest co-ed residence and a great place to dive right into university life. Here youll find the right combination of work and good times in a very active living space. Click on each thumbnail below for a larger view.

University of Manitoba Food Services
New for 2010/11 - External Declining Balance Dollars can be added to all meal plans in the amounts of $100, $300, or $500 and are refundable (less a $25 administration fee). Fees for these plans will be added to the first term residence payment. Off-campus locations TBA. The Pembina Hall Dining Room offers 19 meals per week - breakfast,
lunch, and dinner on weekdays; brunch and dinner on Saturday,
Sunday, and holidays. Bag lunches are available on request.
Three tax-free Meal Memberships are available for the
academic year:

University College
University College residents have an account with a pre-determined
limit (similar to a bank debit card) to buy their meals in dining
areas across campus. Purchases are deducted automatically from
the student's meal membership account. Students can eat at any
University of Manitoba Food Services location; includes: Subway,
Tim Horton's, Fresh Food Company, and all other retail locations.
This declining balance plan has three options (PST and GST exempt):
Super Saver Membership - $2,200
Bison Membership - $2,400
Premium Membership - $2,800
Additional amounts are available, if required.
Arthur V. Mauro Student Residence
Arthur V. Mauro residents have the opportunity to purchase a meal
membership to suit their eating needs. Memberships include both
Declining Balance and Pembina Hall Dining Room plans, making it
easy for students to budget their funds.

Affiliated College Residences
St. Andrews College Residence
St. Andrew’s College is an independent co-ed College, affiliated with the University of Manitoba and conveniently located on the North West corner of the U of M Campus. It is home to the Faculty of Theology for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada and the Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies of the University of Manitoba.
The intimate, friendly, quiet Residence has super-single, single, and double rooms available for 40 residents. The Residence rooms are furnished with the basic necessities for a comfortable study life.
The Residence is administered by the live-in Dean of Residence and Resident Assistants. Together with an active, elected St. Andrew’s College Student Council, they co-ordinate and promote social, sports, educational and cultural residence activities, in an atmosphere conducive to an enjoyable University Residence experience.

St. Johns College Residence
St.
John's College is conveniently located near the University Centre,
and is ideal for people seeking a smaller community on campus,
where academics and residence social life are balanced in a fun,
safe, and secure atmosphere. In order to help students focus on
their studies, the residence has reasonable and regular quiet/study
hours, which all residents agree to follow. Student staff, called
Dons of Residence, help students to integrate into residence and
university life, and help to foster community. We also have an
International Student Representative who helps international students
with their particular needs and concerns. St. John's Residence
Students' Association offers an annual cycle of social events.
Students are encouraged to join social and athletic programs,
to excel academically, and to live and study in a close-knit community
of up to 100 residents.
St. John's Residence is part of a larger community on campus called St. John's College. This College, affiliated with the Anglican Church of Canada, is a founding member College of the University. College members receive their degrees from the University of Manitoba. Students who live in residence become members of the College for a yearly fee of $28 (prorated depending on faculty and course load) and receive all the benefits of membership.
