Internships vary considerably in the terms of their contracts, generally what is meant by "internship" is a short term work or practical experience which is directly related to a specialized field of study. Some financial remuneration is usually offered in return for the service given, it is usually a minimal amount and should not be expected to cover more than general living costs.

Internship Opportunities Through the ICS / World W.I.S.E. Resource Centre:
- Students Without Borders: 3-month internships in Malawi and Vietnam. Presented by World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and the World W.I.S.E. Resource Centre.
