Graduating in February

Convocation ceremonies are held in Spring (late May/early June) and Fall (October) of each year.  February graduates are included in the Spring ceremonies.

Parchments for February graduates are mailed out approximately two weeks after graduation.  Grads may make arrangements to pick up their parchments from the Registrar’s Office, or have it couriered or sent by ExpressPost (n.b. any courier arrangements must be made by the grad directly with a courier company of their choice; prepaid ExpressPost envelopes must be provided).   Detailed information will be sent out by e-mail to students’ umanitoba e-mail accounts only prior to graduation.

All February graduates will receive an e-mail 4-6 weeks before Spring Convocation with information about Convocation (indicating your attendance and reserving your gown, hood, and mortarboard).  This e-mail will also be sent to your umanitoba account.

February graduates who attend the Spring Convocation ceremony will have already received their official parchments.  However, they will be given a congratulatory document in a parchment folder when crossing the stage.   This will make it appear to all guests that the graduate is receiving his/her parchment, as are all other grads.
