Important Dates and Deadlines


The following dates apply to most faculties and schools. 

Some special dates apply to Agriculture Diploma, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Medical Rehabilitation, Pharmacy and Dental Hygiene - please see the Academic Schedule as well as your faculty, school or program section of the Online Academic Calendar for differing and additional dates that apply to you.


Fall Term 2014
September 2 and 3 New Student Orientation
September 4 First day of classes for most faculties and schools.
September 4 - 17 Registration revision period for Fall Term and Fall/Winter Term spanned courses.
September 10 Last date for Fall Term fee payment without financial penalty
September 17 Last date for refund for dropped Fall Term and Fall/Winter Term spanned courses.
September 17 Last day to declare intent to graduate in February.
October 13 Thanksgiving Day Holiday: No Classes
November 11 Remembrance Day (Holiday Observed): No Classes
November 12 Last date for Voluntary Withdrawal from courses in Fall Term 2014. Some faculties have courses with irregular withdrawal dates; see your faculty general office for information
December 3 Classes end in most faculties and schools
December 8 - 19 Final examination period for most faculties and schools. Students must remain available until all examination obligations have been fulfilled
December 24 - January 4 Holiday Period. University Closed.
Winter Term 2015
January 5 University reopens (no classes)
January 6 New Student Orientation
January 6 Classes resume in most faculties and schools.
January 6 - 19 Registration revision period for Winter Term and Winter/Summer spanned courses.
January 13 Last date for Winter Term fee payment.
January 19 Last date for refund for dropped Winter Term and Winter/Summer spanned courses.
January 19 Last date to declare intent to graduate in Spring 2015.
February 16 Louis Riel Day - University closed.
February 16 - 20 Mid-Term break: No classes or examinations in most faculties and schools.
March 19 Last day for Voluntary Withdrawal from all Fall/Winter Term 2014/2015 and Winter Term 2015 courses. Some faculties have courses with irregular withdrawal dates, see your faculty general office for information.
April 10 Classes end in most faculties and schools. 
April 13 - 27 Final examination period for most faculties and schools. Students must remain available until all examination obligations have been fulfilled.
April 3 Good Friday Holiday: University closed.
May 18 Victoria Day: University closed.
