Important Dates and Deadlines

The following dates apply to most faculties and schools. Some special dates apply to Agriculture Diploma, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Medical Rehabilitation, Pharmacy and Dental Hygiene. See the Academic Schedule in the Academic Calendar as well as the chapter for your faculty or school for other dates that apply to you.

Fall Term 2013
September 3 and 4 New Student Orientation
September 4 Last date for Fall Term fee payment without financial penalty
September 5 First day of classes for most faculties and schools
September 5 - 18 Registration revision period/Last date for refund
October 14 Thanksgiving Day Holiday: No Classes
November 11 Remembrance Day (Holiday Observed): No Classes
November 13 Last date for Voluntary Withdrawal from courses in Fall Term 2013. Some faculties have courses with irregular withdrawal dates; see your faculty general office for information
December 4 Classes end in most faculties and schools
December 6 - 18 Final examination period for most faculties and schools. Students must remain available until all examination obligations have been fulfilled
December 21 - January 1 Holiday Period. University Closed.
Winter Term 2014
January 2 University reopens (no classes).
January 6 Classes resume in most faculties and schools.
January 6 - 17 Registration revision period for Winter Term courses/Last date for refund
January 7 Last date for Winter Term fee payment
January 7 New Student Orientation
February 17 Louis Riel Day. University closed.
February 18 - 21 Mid-Term break: No classes or examinations in most faculties and schools
March 19 Last day for Voluntary Withdrawal from all Fall/Winter Term 2013/2014 and Winter Term 2014 courses Some faculties have courses with irregular withdrawal dates, see your faculty general office for information
April 9 Classes end in most faculties and schools. 
April 11 - 25 Final examination period for most faculties and schools. Students must remain available until all examination obligations have been fulfilled
April 18 Good Friday Holiday: University closed.
May 19    Victoria Day: University closed.
