Exam Timetable - Final April 2013

FINAL TIMETABLE FOR THOSE APRIL 2013 EXAMINATIONS
SCHEDULED BY THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE

STUDENTS WRITING EXAMINATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT A VALID
UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA PICTURE IDENTIFICATION CARD AT EACH EXAMINATION

You are encouraged not to bring any valuables to the examination room. Items which you are prohibited from possessing during the test may be left at the front of the examination room. These items will not be secured, and the University accepts no responsibility for items lost or stolen from the examination room.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. If a student has a problem with a conflict or a series of consecutive examinations and these have not yet been reported, please report them immediately to the Registrar's Office.  Students who are unable to write an examination at the scheduled time for reasons of religious observance may have alternate arrangements made.  Also, students who may wish to write their on-campus examinations off-campus may apply to do so. Off-campus sites must be located in Canada. All requests for alternate arrangements should be made through the Registrar's Office no later than Friday, March 15, 2013
  2. No special arrangements will be made for those students who may mis-read the timetable.
  3. Except as noted, examination periods will commence as follows:

    Morning Session - 9:00 A.M.
    Afternoon Session - 1:30 P.M.
    Evening Session - 6:00 P.M.

  4. Any student arriving at the examination hall more than thirty minutes after the commencement, but before the end of the examination, may not be permitted to write the examination.  In no case will a student be permitted to write beyond the time scheduled for the examination to end. 
  5. Because of the seating constraints, some examinations have to be written in more than one examination room at the same time.  Candidates for such examinations have been assigned to the respective examination rooms using surname within a range of the alphabet.

  6. Impersonation in examinations can lead to the suspension or expulsion from the University of all persons involved and may also lead to prosecution under the Criminal Code of Canada.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

    While writing their examination, candidates may not be in possession, at their seat, of any unauthorized material such as unauthorized notes, texts, or books, knapsacks, suitcases or other carrying devices. The use of cell phones, PDA's and other electronic devices capable of transmitting a signal is prohibited in all examinations. Calculators are permitted only with the permission of the instructor and/or the Department or Faculty. Students found in possession of unauthorized material will be subject to disciplinary action.

  7. Smoking within the examination room is strictly prohibited.
  8. Candidates contravening examination regulations including disturbing other candidates writing an examination may be required to cease writing and to withdraw from the examination room.

Note about Room Number on Exam Schedule

If the room number information says "BY-DEPT." for Room No. this means that the Academic department of the course is responsible for booking the exam room. Please contact that department to learn where the exam is being written.
