Tuition Fee Appeal
To appeal your academic fees on medical or compassionate grounds, you must do so in writing on a Fee Appeal Form. Appeals are considered by the Registrar's Committee on Fee Appeals. (Appeals dating back more than three academic years will not be considered). Where the amount in question exceeds $500, you may re-appeal an unfavourable decision to a University fee appeals committee. Call or visit the Registrar's Office for information.
Appeal of Late Payment Fees
To appeal Late Payment Fees, obtain an Appeal for Waiver of Undergraduate Tuition Fee Penalties form from Revenue, Capital and General Accounting, 138 University Centre. Refer to the Financial Services Frequently Asked Questions for further information.
Tuition Fee Appeals due to the Fall 2016 UMFA Strike – VWs after November 1, 2016
The University has extended the Fall 2016 Term due to the UMFA strike in order to allow all courses to be completed successfully. Students whose individual circumstances do not allow for completion of a course(s) within the modified schedule, should first consult with the instructor and the department offering the course to discuss making alternate arrangements.

If alternate arrangements cannot be made, you may appeal for a credit of the tuition fees associated with the affected course(s) using the Fee Appeal Due to Faculty Strike form. You must have support of the dean of the teaching faculty and must have withdrawn from the course(s) after November 1, 2016.
