Registration Errors
Sometimes when you are trying to register for a course, after you have clicked on "Submit Changes", you may see the message:

Registration Add Errors

This means there are restrictions on the class that prevent you from registering. You will not be able to register in a course that has restrictions or errors. If you meet the restrictions or errors, but still receive the error message, please contact your faculty or school office, or the University 1 Student Help Centre..

The explanation of the restriction is under the status column. Sometimes special permission can be obtained to override the restriction or error.

  1. Contact your academic advising office (faculty or school general office, or the University 1 Student Help) Centre to obtain the applicable permission form.
  2. If applicable, your academic advising office may grant the permission to waive the registration restriction. In some cases, you may need to seek approval of the department that teaches the course. e.g. prerequisite overrides, permission to enter a class that is at full capacity.
  3. If approved, return the completed form to your academic advising office.
  4. Check your Registration Time & Status in Aurora Student regularly to see if the permission has been granted.
  5. If the permission is received you may add the class yourself online.
  6. If you can’t resolve the restrictions or errors, select another course.
