We are looking for volunteers, become an Academic Integrity Ambassador today! |
The Student Advocacy office recruited U of M students to volunteer as Academic Integrity Ambassadors. These Ambassadors participate in Academic Integrity events and projects on behalf of the office, such as facilitating workshops, creating educational material for students, and planning Academic Integrity Week. They are students who are committed to helping their fellow peers better understand the rules at the U of M.
Can Liu
2nd year
Can be found…..reading at the table in Starbucks.
Academic Integrity is important to me because….adults should learn to be responsible for themselves and it is very irresponsible to steal from others for a shortcut to your own goal.
Megan Zhou
Asper student
Can be found… in Management Library on the main floor of Drake Centre.
AI is important for me because it influences my academic and career development even without self-awareness. As an international student, I have to be careful about academic integrity to finish my study in Canada. Respect for AI is a responsibility for myself and relevant others.
Laryssa Bogucki
Majoring in Psychology (Hons.)
Can be found… standing in line at Starbucks
I think Academic Integrity is important because it is the only way to ensure that everybody has the same chance at success.
Matt Sanscartier
Program: Final year, B.A. (Hons) in Sociology
Can be found...patrolling the hallways of the sociology department, 3rd floor Isbister!
Academic Integrity is important to me because...when we tell employers we have a degree from the University of Manitoba, that degree needs to come packaged with the assurance that it cost us sweat and tears. When you buy a car you really like, you make sure that it is waxed and polished when you take it for a spin. In the same way, our degrees need to be waxed and polished with hard work and honesty. Otherwise, it just doesn't look the same."
Abimbola Adigun
U1 student
Can be found…reading a book on her kindle and following her personal legend
I think academic integrity is the backbone of learning. Being academically dishonest is cheating yourself out of the opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
Hira Sabzwari
3rd Year General Science student
Can be found…Studying at the library or at a Starbucks
Academic Integrity is important to me because... we all deserve a fair and equal chance to reach our academic goals. Integrity is about choosing to do the right thing and that's important to uphold in all that we do.
Paulina Rodriguez
Fourth year psychology honours student.
Paulina can be found... in various and random places around campus.
Thinks academic integrity is important because... academic integrity contributes to knowledge.
