Student Accessibility Services offers a volunteer note-taker (VNT) service for students with disabilities. We currently have over 900 students registered and therefore we rely on volunteers to assist us in providing this service.

*As a volunteer note-taker (VNT) for Student Accessibility Services, I agree to the following:

  • I will email my notes to dsvnts@gmail.com at least twice a week. Scanning can be done at any of the U of M library scanning stations (including the room directly behind the Dafoe Service Desk) or with my personal scanner.
  • I understand that this service is anonymous for the student with a disability. However, I may get to know which student is using my notes, or other students using Student Accessibility Services. I will respect their confidentiality. As a volunteer Note Taker I should not discuss or reveal any information to others about why, or for whom, notes are being taken.
