The following student programs were initiated by University 1 to assist students in developing their individual skills and to help them meet other students with similar concerns and goals.

U1 Mature Students Program is an initiative designed to support all students 21 years of age and over who are returning to studies. We recognize that Mature Students are often faced with unique challenges when pursuing a university education. Click the link for more information on how we can help. 


Limited Admission - As part of the University of Manitoba's commitment to excellence and accessibility, Limited Admission gives students with lower or missing high school grades the opportunity and support to excel within a university learning environment.

       Promoting Aboriginal Community Together

PACT is a partnership program between University 1 and the Aboriginal Student Centre. Each term, PACT hosts meetings and events for Aboriginal Students to help build student leadership and community. PACT members can also apply to have a mentor, or to become a mentor to new U1 Aboriginal students. Click the link above for the PACT webpage and mentor information.


Bison Athletes: Bison+ (B+) Program - An academic support program that works directly with U of M student-athletes to help manage their academic and athletic commitments. B+ advisors offer specialized advising based on each team's schedule and CIS requirements to help athletes ensure they remain eligible and academically successful.
