Hi from a another student mom. I however am not 26( I wish!)I am taking one course this summer and working as well. So I hope I will be able to juggle it all without losing my mind! Are you taking any courses for the summer session? Or, are you taking a well deserved break ?

I'm 22 years old with a 2 year old son. I wrote an exam 3 days before I gave birth and went back when he was 5 months old to do online and evening classes. I'm going into 3rd year nursing and it is so worth it!! I think it's a great example to set for our children even though it is quite challenging to juggle it all sometimes.

Hi! I'm a single, 25 year old mother of 2 young girls, ages 2 & 1/2 and 1 years old. I will be attending my first year of university (U1) in September and very anxious! I'm glad to hear and know that there are other mothers (and fathers) out there trying to better themselves. I had a general question to those of you who have already been attending university.......
Did you find the transition of going to school while working difficult? If so, what did you find made things easier on you? Since this is my first year, i'm very nervous and wanting advice from anyone who can offer some. Mainly, tips on how to juggle home life and school life without compromising either of them. Also, advice on how to schedule courses to make things easier. In my head, taking my MWF courses one after the other seems like a good idea, I have scheduled 9 credit hours on them. Is that a bad idea? I would love to hear anything and everything from anybody! Thanks!

Hey everyone!
Nice to see that there are other parents out there. I've been trying to start a student-parent group since last year, but I had very little response. I understand that we are all busy s am I being a parent of 4 (my oldest is 6). I later devoted less time pursuing this venture, but if there are people willing to join this time, maybe I'll have energy again to get things going. you check out my blog at www.uofmstudnet-parentsnetwork.blogspot.com
I think it is still up and running...otherwise e-mail me at gbpuhawan@yahoo.ca
