I would like hear some of your stories where you have tried to ask someone out. It does not matter if you were successful or not.

This thread looks interesting.
I'm an overly confident, very blunt girl and I don't mind making the "first move" when I find I'm attracted to someone.
I don't remember asking anyone out on a date recently, in my last relationship, I was the one who got his number.
I met him at a student group meeting and we had that unfamiliar, awkwardly forced small talk before the meeting started. "How are you today?" "What are you taking?" etc.
After the meeting, pretty much out of no where, I asked, "So... Can I have your number?"
Then we exchange numbers. We then hung out for a few weeks and eventually started dating.
Good times.
