travel to Europe
| travel to Europe | Sep 5, 2006, 11:54 am |
I've been to Europe before, but with my family when I was younger. I would love to go again, but experience more of the night life and what Europe has to offer for someone who's 19. I want to meet other travellers and get better at spurring on easy conversation.

I am planning to go next spring. I haven't decided which countries to visit.

I spent two months in Costa Rica a number of years ago. That was fantastic!
Next spring we're going to France and Luxembourg to visit friends and family who have recently moved to those countries. Not sure where else we'll go. Likely stick to western europe because we only have one month.

Planning a trip to Hungary next year to visit some relatives who I've only met once and who I don't really know. It's weird meeting cousins, etc. that are in essence complete strangers. Especially weird since my Hungarian is pathetic and most of them don't speak English. Lots of pointing and hand signals

If everything goes well, I might go on an internship with an international organization in Geneva. A little scary though as I don't know a soul there and they say things are way more expensive and my french is not that fluent. Anyone who has visited/lived in Switzerland?

Anyone travelling to Europe should swing by Denmark, its a pretty nice place
and if im home during you visit you could crash on the floor of my appartment free of charge of course (small 1 bedroom place so i dont have room for beds
)
It's in Aalborg that has a great nightlife and also the biggest carneval in Northern europe... Its from the 20th - 26th of may (the 26th is a huge street party and a great experience i will recommend to anyone!
