Have any of you checked out the yoga classes on campus at the Frank Kennedy? I'm skeptical of them but would really like to do some regular yoga with a group on campus. Are any of you interested in organizing something? I'm comfortable leading a group. We could also take turns. I'm sure if we look into it we could start a student yoga group and even get a space.
Let me know.
Namaste.

I doubt we could get hot yoga going as we would need to be able to heat up a room. I was doing Bikram on Donald but am no longer happy with that space. Have you been doing hot yoga at Source or Bikram on Pembina?
Namaste.

I did 3 classes of yoga in high school (during my PFR course). It was sort of weird at the beginning, but I liked it in the end (it was fun, so many people falling asleep in a class and snoring). I found it also very calming and stress-reducing.
Anyway, I would like to know (and try) more about it. But... have no idea where to start from. Help...

According to Google, Hot Yoga is a special type of Yoga that is done in a heated room that is between 90F and 100F. The heat causes profuse sweating which is supposed to rid the body of toxins.

Oops, clicked on submit but didn't post after the reply.
Anyways, I'm a guy and I love yoga! I only had one on DVD, never with a group. I think I'm also just a beginner. Yoga is so healthy. It relaxes me and makes me...happier. Cos I'm always stressed!
So...count me in if we're doin yoga on campus, but I'm not wearing any tights if there's a dress code lol!

There are lots of mind, body and spirit classes offered on campus... yoga, pilates, tai chi, yoga slow flow, etc. Check out this website. http://www.umanitoba.ca/faculties/kinrec/bsal/programs/mbs/
This gives you options so you dont have to go off campus and freeze your butt off!
