UMSU advocates on behalf of students to all levels of government involved with Post-secondary education - Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Administration. UMSU also offers numerous services including a health and dental plan, campus radio, tutor registry, and gallery of student art. UMSU's student owned and operated businesses include the UMSU Digital Copy Centre, GPA's Convenience Store, Archives Used Bookstore, IQ's Cafe and Billiards, and Degrees Restaurant. With over 3,000 members, the GSA is the official voice of graduate students to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, as well as to other levels of Administration. The GSA serves two purposes in providing its membership a wide variety of benefits and services: representation and advocacy on behalf of graduate student issues, and provision of services to its members, including travel grants, the Gradzette, and bursaries for students. Of the fees collected, some money is also allocated to department councils in the form of departmental grants. CUPE collectively bargains and administers the collective agreements that regulate your employment here at the University.
