JUMP email
Page 3 / 6
Each student at the University of Manitoba gets an email account when he or she claims his or her UMnetID.

Setting up an email signature

JUMP email allows you to setup up an email signature that is automatically included with your outgoing email. A signature is customized text that you want included at the end of your outgoing email, often used to identify yourself.

We have created a tutorial that shows you how to add a signature to your JUMP email.

Attaching files to your outgoing mail

JUMP email also allows you to attach files to your outgoing email. Attaching files to emails is a good way to send documents to people or to send an assignment to your instructor - if he or she accepts assignments by email!

We have created a tutorial that shows you how to attach a file to your JUMP email.

Do you want to check whether you can successfully attach a Word or RTF document to an email message? You can by sending email to "etools@cc.umanitoba.ca." To get a successful response your email must meet the following conditions:
  • The subject line of the email must contain the words "ARTS 1110 assignment."
  • The email must come from a valid UM email account (i.e., yourname@cc.umanitoba.ca).
  • The email must have an attached document saved as a Word document (filename.doc) or a Rich Text Format file (filename.rtf).
Try it!
