    If you found an image in a book or journal, you will need to include this basic information under the image:
  • Name of designer/architect
  • Title of the work/building
  • Date
  • City or Country
    APA Style:
  • Artist (last name, first name), artist’s role (in parentheses i.e. Artist, Architect), title, the work type, in brackets [Painting, Cathedral, Chair], country of origin or city, and state, and repository.

    To cite the information in your bibliography, you will need the following information.
  • If you found the image in a book:

  • the author, title, publisher information, date, page, figure or plate number of the reproduction.
  • If you found the image in a journal:

  • the author,article title, journal title,vol./no., page and figure number.
  • If you found the image online you will need:

  • an access date, the web site address (URL) and in some cases an image ID number.
