Every faculty has an entry in the Start Book. On page 14 you will find a summary of how to use the faculty entries.

The 3 Approaches

At the top of each page for every faculty entry, there will be directions for following each of the 3 approaches as they pertain to that faculty.

In this section you will find information such as: written English (W) & mathematics (M) requirements and any high school prerequisites needed for the program. Again, for Agribusiness this information looks like this:

Admission Requirements from U1

Under Admission Requirements, each faculty entry will include:

  • the minimum credit hours required for admission – usually 24 to 30
  • the minimum course load required – the minimum number of courses required in a regular session for admission
  • the minimum grade point average required for admission
  • whether an interview or entrance exam is required
  • whether you can complete required courses in the Summer Session
  • what the selection criteria is for admission, e.g. 100% grades or a combination of grades and an interview. Also, if the program is restricted to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
