If you are coming to study at the U of M from outside of Canada, we welcome you!
This is an exciting time for you filled with the anticipation of a new country, city, school and learning environment. We realize it can also be a time of adjustment to a new culture, climate and educational system.
We are very excited that you have chosen to study in Canada! There are many services available to help you adjust to your new life here at the University of Manitoba. We want to make sure that you are well prepared and know where to go if you have questions or concerns.
International Student Mentorship Program
This University 1 program partners you with a current U of M student who can share their campus experiences with you. Through workshops and activities, this program strives to help improve your writing and study skills and introduce you to some new friends.
International Centre for Students
ICS offers an orientation and welcome program for new international students, workshops, a newsletter, lounge, activities and events. They also provide information on visas, permits and immigration, banking, transportation, health, money and finances and accommodations.
UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS!
