Where Can I Stay When I First Arrive?
If you wish, a Welcome Family can meet you at the airport and give you a place to stay for a few days when you first arrive in Winnipeg. The University of Manitoba also has a homestay program for those students who wish to live in a Canadian household.
Where Will I Live?
There is some housing available on campus, but many university students rent apartments, houses, and rooms off campus as well.

| Look through the Classified section of local newspapers to see ads for housing. Remember that in many cases, expenses such as phone, gas, and electricity are paid separately from rent expenses. Ask the landlord if you are not certain what services are included in the rental price. | |
