Where Can I Stay When I First Arrive?

If you wish, a Welcome Family can meet you at the airport and give you a place to stay for a few days when you first arrive in Winnipeg. The University of Manitoba also has a homestay program for those students who wish to live in a Canadian household.

Look through the Classified section of local newspapers to see ads for housing. Remember that in many cases, expenses such as phone, gas, and electricity are paid separately from rent expenses.
