Journals/Magazines
Research papers will require you to write for an academic audience and to use academic and scholarly journals. Journals tend to cover more specific and current topics than books. This is where your professors publish their research in the forms of essays, case studies, projects, reviews, critiques and reports.![]() | ![]() |
Evaluating articles
You'll encounter articles that come from two different sources: popular magazines and scholarly journals. While popular magazine articles are sometimes acceptable sources for research assignments, many instructors expect you to use scholarly journal articles.
