To make friends at university some of the best things to try doing are a) go down to a student group that interests you and hang out there with people with common interests b) talk to the people in your classes and DON'T take classes with your old high school friends since it discourages meeting new people c) after class is over DON'T just go home, you meet waaaay more people and have waaay more fun at the university after classes are over. just going down to one of the computer labs or having dinner...

Oooh, I'm trying to do this too. I've made it to second year and don't have any debt yet, I'm impressed with myself but my funds are...erm...running low. I think I'll be able to make it through second year though. With regards to third year...we'll see......
