    I disagree completely. It's an awesome colloquialism of Canadian English and there's nothing at all wrong with using it. I certainly am not a hick, nor do I associate the word 'eh' with being one, and lord knows I say it all the time.

    More than meaning "isn't it", as in "Man it's freakin hot out today, eh?", 'eh' can be used in a statement to raise someone's awareness to some matter.

    "Don't buy that, eh."
    "That's crappy beer, eh."...
