I was actually the secretary for the CSSA (Computer Science Student's Association) in my first year, and we had a few events, a social etc, but I believe most of the executive members graduated, and I don't believe anyone else kept things running after that year (2003). Most events didn't get a lot of attendance, and it seems like most of the social events in Computer Science are related with the co-op program, at the moment.

Wants to know where people hang out between classes. Sep 12, 2006, 10:23 pm
Heh... I guess Tier-Fletcher Argue makes sense, as you're an Arts student. I'm a CompSci student, so I tend to stay in the new Engineering building, usually in one of the computer labs. I'm quite interested in this subject as well though; I know there are some lounges for certain departments or groups, it would interesting to have a list of them, in case someone feels curious about a particular subject.
Here's another question, since you mention it: is it rude to talk to someone who's reading? Would you be terribly offended?...

do something interesting in my spares Sep 8, 2006, 1:24 pm
While I think computers are a valuable learning tool, I tend to learn better by talking to people. Anyone who's down, MWF 12:30 - 2:30, TR 12:45 - 2:30.
