  • Mechanical vs Manufacturing Engineering Mar 2, 2008, 1:21 pm
    MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING
•Involves the design, analysis, production, and even after sales services of engineering and consumer products
•Manufacturing processes are undergoing rapid advancement with enhanced application of computer technology and are entering the computer integrated area
•Quite a dynamic field of engineering when you consider that most of the things that you use on a daily basis are products of some form of manufacturing

    MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
    •Applies...

  • ENGL 1310 Jan 24, 2008, 11:26 am
No the topic does not depend on your major. Pick the topic you like best. I took "Humour" a few years ago and it was quite entertaining....

To-Do Item: I want to dig a tunnel to St. Paul's College... with my bare hands
  • Re: Think bigger!!!! Oct 5, 2006, 3:55 pm

Well... we don't really need the underground transportation everywhere in the city. Just internal to the university. We already have some of the tunnels built, all we need is to get a motorized vehicle capable of carrying +or- 10 people at a time....

  • Re: Think bigger!!!! Oct 4, 2006, 7:58 pm

Brilliant suggestion. The tinkertown train would be perfect!...

  • Think bigger!!!! Oct 4, 2006, 9:10 am
I'd like to expand this idea beyond building a tunnel to the colleges. Think bigger... a public transportation underground system. Think how easy it would be to get from one place to another within the university if you could just hop on to a train/bus like service and get off where you needed to....

Discussion Item: eat more vegetables
  • Places to eat Sep 10, 2006, 12:39 am
Daily Bread - located in the basement of St. John's College. Try the daily specials. They are usually your best bet. The place gets pretty crowded during lunch hour, so get there early.

Degrees - located in the 3rd floor of University Centre. Good food, but it's a little more expensive. Chicken fingers and burgers are the best options. Again, can be busy during lunch.

Fisheries - located in the Institude for Fresh Water (or something like that), which across from Frank Kennedy...

  • Re: healthy eating?... Sep 8, 2006, 10:18 pm

I agree with you. I think there are only 3 good places to eat on campus: Daily Bread, Degrees and Fisheries. I try to avoid the rest because of prices and food quality....

  • Re: Vegetables Sep 7, 2006, 6:20 pm

No. I am done with all my Comp Sci mandatory courses. However, there are a couple of interesting courses that I am still considering. These are OS2 and Cryptology.
Have you taken either of these courses?...
