Change Management & Project Services (CMaPS) is a department within Human Resources and is responsible for providing change management, project management (non-IT related), and process improvement services to the University community. We work with departments on a consultative basis to help facilitate and support changes that improve the University and its community.

Maire joined the University of Manitoba in 2003 with the Physical Plant department and joined Change Management and Project Services in 2014. Maire has over 15 years of experience working at the University of Manitoba in the area of change – whether about changing to more sustainable behaviours or, more recently, supporting individuals through the impacts of a change to them and their department. She holds Prosci certification and Prince2 foundation as well as being a certified coach. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Human Ecology and a Master’s degree in Natural Resources management.

Heather joined the University of Manitoba in 2015 in the Faculty of Arts Dean’s Office and joined Change Management and Project Services in the fall of 2018 with a focus on Human Resources projects including the new HRIS. She brings over 25 years of HR experience with diverse industries including government, retail, co-operative, manufacturing and education sectors where she has supported rapid growth and restructuring change efforts. Heather’s positive approach and ability to identify unique attributes of clients and organizations supports sustainable change for client groups. She holds her CPHR designation and is Prosci certified. Her education includes a Bachelor of Kinesiology (University of Alberta), Diploma in Adult Education (St. Francis Xavier University) and Master in Business Administration (University of Manitoba).

Katherine joined the University of Manitoba in 2017 as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) student and Research Assistant at the I.H. Asper School of Business. In 2018, she worked in the Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) Program at Asper and joined the Change Management and Project Services in fall 2019. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts (University of Manitoba) in Global Political Economy and takes pride in her interdisciplinary approach to problem solving. Her work experience has led her to work in the education and non-profit sectors. She is known for her optimistic and enthusiastic approach to work and enjoys asking powerful questions to align individuals with solution-focused results. Katherine has completed Accredited Change Management Professional (ACMP) training and is currently completing her coaching certification with the International Coaching Federation. She will graduate with her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Manitoba in 2020.
