The Awards of Excellence is a special awards program that recognizes the dedicated service of support staff who make outstanding contribution to the university—individuals and teams who are making a difference in our community.
This year the Awards of Excellence recipients have been honoured with a celebratory video in lieu of the reception event, which had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
Tune in on June 25 to find out the winners of this year’s awards, and to hear more about their accomplishments. The online event will premiere on the UM YouTube channel and will feature remarks from the nominators, President Barnard, and Lynn Zapshala-Kelln, Vice-President (Administration) and the chair of the Awards of Excellence.
Congratulations to the 2020 Awards of Excellence Recipients. Let’s celebrate our community together!
Do you know a peer, co-worker, team or supervisor that goes above and beyond to make the U of M an outstanding learning and working environment? If so, we want to hear from you!
There is one award category with multiple opportunities to celebrate the wide-range of accomplishments of UM support staff. All nominations will be automatically considered for the President’s Award.
Nominees will be scored on how their contributions support one or more of the five pillars of the University’s strategic plan. Our strategic pillars are broad, so they provide many different ways to celebrate outstanding work.
Nominations will close on February 11, 2020.
