Register online

Participate in this year’s Symposium in one of two ways: attend in person, or view the sessions streaming online on May 8.

To attend this year's Symposium, register using our online form.

Register for May 8

Online registration is open until May 5, 2024. After May 5, attendees must register in person at the registration desk located in 204 Marshall McLuhan Hall on May 8. The registration desk will open at 8:00 a.m.

If you need assistance with registering, call 204-474-8754 to speak with Centre staff.

While this year's Symposium is offered in a hybrid format, we encourage you to come out and connect with our researchers and your fellow attendees in person.

Information for attendees

There is no cost to attend the Symposium, but registration is required.

On the day of the Symposium, Centre on Aging staff and volunteers will be available at the Registration desk that will be set up near the front entrance of 204 Marshall McLuhan Hall, UMSU University Centre. In person attendees can pick up their name tags and Symposium program at a glance.

All sessions will be streamed live. The Symposium sessions will not be archived for future viewing.

Lunch and break options

A lunch option will not be available for this year's Symposium attendees.

Bring your own lunch

Symposium attendees joining us for the full or part of the day should bring their own lunches to this year's Symposium.

Seating areas can be found inside and outside UMSU University Centre, and outdoors at picnic tables in the surrounding buildings. For those interested, you can explore nearby restaurants found on the Fort Garry Campus. Stop by the registration desk to find out about restaurants in the vicinity.

    • Bring your reusable water bottle from home. Several water bottle fill stations can be found on the second floor, in and around Marshall McLuhan Hall
    • Recycle your symposium program at a glance at the end of the day. Look for the blue recycling bins around campus.
    • Return your name badge to the registration desk at the end of the day.
