Served in the RCN (1960 – 1970) as a Sonar operator during the Cuban missile crisis and later as an Avionics technician in the Fleet Air Arm. After a 50 year career in electronic technology, returned to school in 2014 and graduated with BA/18 and MA/20 in political studies from the University of Manitoba. Currently working on a book about Canadian civil-military relations, from the Cuban missile crisis to date, and the future.
