Part of the science series "Wonder Why," Flight and Electricity are both hosted by Richard Zurawski. These fast-paced videos feature both a question-and-answer format and segments featuring children.

Flight examines human attempts at flight: balloons, airplanes and rockets. The video features the historical development of both balloon flight and airplanes, and explains how all three types of flight work. A problem with this video stems from its inclusion of space flight as a topic. The explanation of rockets was both cursory and complex, and the video would have been more cohesive had rockets been omitted.

Electricity focuses on static and current electricity. The video explains what electricity is and how it is generated. It also features how a light bulb works and what life was like without electricity.

Both videos present the information in short, interesting segments. Often segments are introduced by a "Feedback" portion, in which children give their answers to a question. The videos also include interviews with experts, such as a pilot; "Let's make it" with Willy Wonder, in which a wing and turbine wheel are made; and an "Out and About" feature, which takes the viewer on a balloon ride.

Flight and Electricity are both informative and entertaining. The concepts discussed were both explained and demonstrated. As the coverage of the subjects is superficial, the videos would serve as a good introduction to their topics.
