When do I need to book my activity?

  • Booking is required for climbing, racquetball, squash, table tennis, tennis and cricket. In-person bookings are allowed.

Booking cancellations:

You can cancel your time slot by calling the customer service desk at 204-474-6100.

There is no charge to cancel or change a time slot. We ask that you cancel at least two hours in advance to allow others to book a time.

Hours of operation and parking

  • Fort Garry Campus

    Opening hours:

    Monday to Friday 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Parking:

    On weekdays, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., paid visitor parking is restricted to meters, Park & Pay areas and the University Parkade. Visitor parking passes for specific lots must be displayed in the vehicle. For complete Fort Garry parking details including daytime rates and maximums, please visit UM short-term parking.

    For your convenience, we recommend parking in the U lot just across from Frank Kennedy Centre. Paid parking in U Lot is located on the Northeast corner of the parking lot.

    With the exception of the University parkade, there is no charge for parking after 4:30 p.m. (and all day on weekends or statutory holidays). Please be aware that this does not include 24-hour reserved parking spots (please read the signs).

  • Bannatyne Campus

    Opening hours:

    Monday to Friday 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Access to the Joe Doupe Recreation Centre

  • You will gain access to Brodie Center through the main doors and will be required to have an access card, photo ID and be wearing a mask.

    Community members:

    Members who are not UM staff or students will require an access card to enter the Brodie Centre. Email Adam Toffan to arrange your card: adam.toffan@umanitoba.ca

    UM staff and students:

    Fort Garry UM staff and students who use the Joe Doupe Recreation Centre should contact adam.toffan@umanitoba.ca to add access to their card.
