This document illustrates methods for moving email stored in your CC email account to your Exchange email account. These instructions assume that you have both a CC email account and an Exchange account.
Overview
Moving your CC email can be simplified into the following steps:
Note: It is not possible to copy the “Inbox” folder itself from your CC account over into your Exchange account because a folder named Inbox already exists on your Exchange account. You can however copy the content (email messages) of your Inbox folder over.
Please watch the video below to see a method of transferring your CC emails into your Exchange account. This video illustrates the process of creating a folder with your Exchange account and moving your emails from your CC Inbox into this archive folder.
Alternatively you may use the copy folder option as shown in the screenshot below (this example is using Outlook 2013), Exchange and CC accounts have been added into Outlook, and a folder in the CC account titled “Projects” is copied over to the Exchange account. Note that this method will not work for the CC “Inbox” folder itself, but will work for subfolders with names that are not currently replicated on the Exchange account. The transfer process is done by right clicking a folder as shown and selecting “copy folder”, then the destination (in this case the Exchnage account) is selected from the options box.
Please note that you may move up to 1000 emails at a time. You may find that a large quantity of mail, or individual messages with large attachments take a significant amount of time to copy. Cleaning up unwanted email, or sorting your folder by message size to remove unwanted large messages may make migrating your email go more quickly.
Selecting a capable email client
In order to benefit from the features Exchange you will require an Exchange compatible mail client.
Below is a list of supported/recommended email clients:
Adding your Exchange and CC accounts
The instructions for setting up CC email and Exchange accounts are found below.
Both accounts need to be setup in the mail client you choose.
Moving or Copying Emails
Right click folders you would like to copy, and select Copy Folder.
If you prefer, you can also select individual messages (or groups of messages), and copy them from one folder to another.

When finished
You will want to remove your CC email account from your email client once finished, as the CC email system will no longer be available in the near future.
