Development of a mechanistic mathematical model to develop and suggest new feeding strategies that improve nutrient use efficiency such as reducing total P in diet while meeting nutritional and production needs.


  • develop model based on typical poultry diets used in Manitoba
  • evaluate feeding strategies suggested by model
  • technology transfer workshop to facilitate uptake and use of model to devise environmentally and economically viable feeding programs
