Dr. Elizabeth Wall-Wieler is a Research Scientist at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences. She completed her BSc in Statistics at the University of Winnipeg, MSc and PhD in Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, and postdoctoral training in perinatal epidemiology at Stanford University (Stanford, USA).
Dr. Wall-Wieler uses linked administrative data to conduct research on maternal and child health, child welfare, and mental health. Most recently, her work has focused on predictors and outcomes of pregnancy loss, and parental predictors of and outcomes after losing custody of a child to child protection services. She is also interested in developing more efficient, structured approaches to population data analytics and data curation.
Dr. Wall-Wieler is currently accepting undergraduate and graduate students, particularly those who are interested in research using linked administrative databases.
