The Linguistic Circle of Manitoba & North Dakota has created a full-text electronic journal linked to its Proceedings. It is entitled:
LCMND e-Journal: Papers Presented at the Linguistic Circle's Annual Meetings, 1959-.
The first volume reflects the LCMND's Forty-Sixth Conference which was held in Grand Forks in 2003, & hosted by the UND.
All those who presented a paper at the last LCMND Meeting are hereby invited to submit their texts for consideration.
Authors should note the following:
1. Only papers presented at The Forty-Sixth Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Circle of Manitoba & North Dakota (October 2003) are considered at present.
Papers must be revised for publication, i.e., equipped with footnotes, proper documentation, etc.
2. Titles are to remain as close as possible to that of the original presentation.
3. Papers may be in either English or French.
4. The maximum length is 4,000 words, including endnotes.
5. All papers should be in compliance with MLA style.
6. All footnotes are to be placed at the end of the text, and followed by a bibliography.
7. Securing permission for lengthy quotations will be the responsibility of the author.
8. All submissions will be refereed by at least two readers.
9. Papers should be e-sent as either a Word or an RTF attachment file to 2003/4 LCMND President Enrique Fernández at fernand4@cc.umanitoba.ca.
10. Each paper, upon its final acceptance, will be posted on the Linguistic Circle’s website by LCMND site editor Gaby Divay. The Circle's & the Journal's web-addresses are:
