MAZE included art by new tenure-track and recently tenured School of Art professors Stephen Grimmer, Steven Nunoda, Kevin Kelly, Alex Poruchnyk and Kirk Warren. Poruchnyk and Kelly are already well-known members of the Winnipeg art community, and Warren is well-known in the world of design, but all of these artists are at the beginning of their careers as tenured or tenure-track (meaning full-time) professors. This summer 2008 show began to a new season of programming about the relationship in Winnipeg between "uptown" or School of Art artist/instructors and "downtown" or Winnipeg Exchange District artists.
